He was a graduate of Male High School, attended the University of Louisville and was a retired Vice President of the Bank of Louisville.He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara "Bobbie;" sons: Dr.Lawrence (Tracy) and Craig Rouben (Willow); daughters: Leann Culbertson (Mark) and Celeste Barone (Tom) of Davidson, NC; grandchildren: Alec Rouben and Hudson Rouben, Tessa and Seth Culbertson, and Harrison and Kyle Barone; also brother Alvin Rouben (Dorothy) of San Diego, CA; and sister, Leba Frank (Werner); as well as many lifelong family and friends.He was a lifelong member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun, the Jefferson County Pharmacy Association, the Veteran Drug Club, and the University of Kentucky Alumni Association.He was a lifelong member of the Clover Club and a past member of the Jewish Community Center.She was energetic, full of life and a generous friend to all.
She is survived by her loving father, Morris Kaplan; beloved children: Deborah (Buckner) Tomlin and David Mink; much loved sister, Dana Camodeca (Dr.Born May 6, 1933, to Morris and Bess Sotsky Plattus of Louisville, he was the youngest brother of James, Robert and Jeanne (Wasserman).Simon was the last surviving of the children, who were raised in Syracuse, NY, but returned to their mother's hometown at the end of the 1940's.He was also past President of the local chapter of The Building Owners and Management Association and served 12 years as Chairman of The Louisville Metro Parks Board.He served on the University of Louisville Cardinal Athletic Fund, was a Board member of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and was a two term Board member of the Regional Airport Authority of Louisville and Jefferson County.Shirley was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and lived most of her life in Louisville, Kentucky.
