Hello everyone, First of all, I want to state I really don't know too much about computers.To resolve this issue, close any applications that are accessing files in your Dropbox folder before attempting to update your Selective Sync preferences.If files in your Dropbox don't have correct permissions, Dropbox may not sync them.After completing the first and sometimes the second step, my computer will suddenly restart again and then the screen with state "Loading Files" and then come up with a screen that says Windows could not start and that it is scanning the files to repair.After doing this for several minutes it tells me that it must restart and to click "Finish" to restart. This action will re-generate a new Catroot2 folder and the updates or hotfixes, should hopefully install. If still, you have a problem then, go to and look for the most recent entry. Any failed updates will have error code/s written next to them. If you find just too many entries too confusing delete this Windows and try installing the problematic updates again. This will give you the direction in which you may have to look for the solution. Now in the Command Prompt windows, type the following commands one at a time, and hit Enter: Reboot. To reset the catroot2 folder do this: Open an elevated Command Prompt, type the following command one after the other and hit Enter: Restart your computer and try again.
